Moonstone

Game:
Moonstone

Description:
Knights fighting monsters - ‘nuff said.

Platform:
Amiga 500

The game
Moonstone is my favorite game of all time – forget the lists floating around the net hailing Zelda – something something as the number one. This gem here far surpasses it in every way – and I’m so confident in this I say it without never having played Zelda – something something, Moonstone is that good! It’s like the best sex (some of you may have had) with extra sex on top of that plus a cold beer and the movie Robocop – all in all the best things in life.
The premise is the epic search for the four moonstones and you are one of four Knights embarking on the task . Your search will bring you through swamplands, rocky terrain, fields and forests, and at the same time kicking a huge variety of monster ass. These monsters range from little furry monkey-like critters to a huge badass dragon, that’s so terrifying, you’ll spend the first half of the game desperately avoiding - why you ask? Because it’ll kill the second you encounter it. Enter sword of sharpness. The weapons available in this game consists of different types of sword, daggers and armor – plus a wide selection of magic potions and talismans but the sword of sharpness is takes the cake. With this baby equipped you’ll be able to lob of the heads of your e nemies with one swift blow – this is cool enough in it self – but Moonstone being the kick-ass-rock-your-face-of game that it is, the headless bastard stands for a second or two with blood gushing out of his neck – neatly accompanied by the sound of a squishing pumping sound.
The shear brilliance of this game makes me lost for words, get it immediately – where you say? Get the Amiga emulator winUEA, find a kickstart file and download the game from somewhere. Google, google and google. And depending on your mental capacity you’ll be able to play this baby here, in one to fourteen hours (Emulation isn’t easy)
